Pilesar Press! Pilesar always seems to be having such a blast and that - plus his restless innovation - is why I enjoy his material so much. It gets me smiling and even out-right laughing in places. –Cam Bastedo, Soundclick.com, 10-30-08
Pilesar
- in all his various guises - has become a permanent fixture on
Soundclick's Weird: wonderful genre of experimental (yes, it could be
said as awkward) artists. Fact is, in my very personal opinion, Pilesar
is one of the leading lights of that scene because there certainly
isn't anyone around like him and the endless list of class tracks he
has delivered (in lots of genres) is nothing less than inspiring. At
least that's what I say to his face, but behind his back it's obviously
a different story.
A
kind of warped antidote to most of the over-earnest indie rock that
tends to dominate the airwaves, Pilesar is disposable, playful,
intermittently brilliant nonsense, conjured on a four-track using a
bunch of cheap instruments. For tons of reviews for specific songs, please go here. |
