3/10/11: Tour's over and I have to say that I had a blast! Thanks to everyone who came out to see me and the other bands, buy our schwag, sign our guestbooks, etc etc. I've definitely got the bug and am ready to hit the road again soon.

2/25/11: Tour starts today! Check out my shows section to see if I'm coming to your town!

2/3/11: Radio Friendly is now on iTunes!

1/30/11: Radio Friendly is finally available online! You can download the MP3 album or buy the physical CD at CDbaby. It will eventually be available on other online stores such as Digstation, iTunes as well as the Public Eyesore website so it won't be long before I've taken over the web. Horray!

I'm also preparing for my east coast mini-tour at the end of February so check out the show calendar to see if I'll be coming anywhere near you! As part of the tour, I'll be doing a studio performance/interview on WUSC on Saturday, March 5th but it won't air until the following Friday, March 11th. I'll be performing some songs from my live repertoire as well as talking about and playing tunes off the new album. It should be a lot of fun. I'll post more details on that as it develops.

1/21/11: Happy New Year, everyone! Got some exciting news to share:)

Firstly, I just added a new Shows section to the website. It's not in the navigation bar yet and I still need to jazz it up a little but it's definitely there. Just in time for my little east coast mini-tour coming up at the end of February. Go check out the dates to see if I'll be coming anywhere close to your neck of the woods!

Secondly, my new album Radio Friendly is done and hot off the presses. I just got the CDs in the mail today and it will only be a matter a week or two for them to be available to the public via Public Eyesore's website as well as iTunes and perhaps a variety of other online outlets. More on this as details come together. Thanks to everyone at Kickstarter and all of my friends and family who all helped make this possible.

Finally, in celebration of my new CD, I will be releasing an MP3 only EP of album outtakes and perhaps even an additional EP of brand new material by the end of February that you can download for FREE off my website. Come back soon for more details....

12/14/10: Hooray! My first official Pilesar CD release, Radio Friendly, has been successfully funded on Kickstarter. Now I just have a few tweaks left to go on the artwork/liner notes and it'll be ready to it send off for manufacturing later next week! Oh joy!!!

Also, there is a short Pilesar east coast tour in the works for late February and early March so be sure to visit my new Shows section to see if I'm coming anywhere near you. If so, come out and say hi!

Stay tuned for more developments!

11/17/10: Three new albums uploaded! Three "new" Pilesar collections and two brand new CDA artists! Get 'em while they're hawt!!!!

Pilesar- Live Vol. 2

Blue Sausage Infant- Locust Hit the Ground Screaming (1987-2010)

Gary Rouzer- Without Hidden Noise

10/06/10: Holy crap! I just did it! After twelve years of work, I finally took the plunge and launched a Kickstarter account to help fund my Radio Friendly project. Essentially, I felt it was time to release a professionally packaged CD of what I thought best represented my work from over the last decade. If you're interested in helping out, please click on this link and help me spread the word! Oh Joy!!!

09/15/10: I know, I know. I've been TERRIBLE about updating my site lately but it's been a whirlwind kind of year!

FIrst of all, I'm opening up this year's Sonic Circuits with a solo set at the French Embassy here in DC. The festival kicks off on Saturday, September 18th at 3:30 pm so if you're in the area come check it out!

In other news, I've released a kind of speed noise EP on Jeff Surak's Zeromoon label and you can download it here. It's quite different than most of my "normal" stuff but you guys don't mind if I stretch out a little bit every now in then, do you? I didn't think so:).

Next, I'm releasing a "greatest hits and BEYOND" collection in the next few months. It's called Radio Friendly and will showcase some of my favorite (and most accessible) Pilesar tunes from the last twelve years as well as some never before released material. I'm even getting it professionally packaged and replicated too! It's essentially my very first REAL Pilesar CD. The plan is to release it as a six panel digipak with lots of cool artwork, lyrics, and possibly even some multimedia content. Pretty sweet, huh? The mastering is done and the artwork is almost finished. Now, I just need to get some funding for the packaging......

Finally, I'm trying to get some new music up soon but I'm having trouble uploading the artwork. Once that issue is resolved, expect a lot of new albums from Pilesar, Blue Sausage Infant, Gary Rouzer and more!

03/22/10: Happy belated New Year and stuff!

Yeah, it's been a while. I know. Sorry! Stupid life's been getting in the way of all my fun. But fear not! I will be back very soon with lots of news and TONS of new material for your grubby little mitts!!!

10/27/09: Hi all!

So, Sonic Circuits was a blast and I'd like to thank everyone who came out to the shows! I've posted some new live vids from the Velvet Lounge performance in the music section if you're interested in seeing what went down.

In other news, I got interviewed in the Washington Post last month in regards to the festival. You can read about that here.

Finally, I've got a TON of new and archival recordings coming up very soon (Layne Garrett + Pilesar, Gary Rouzer, Blue Sausage Infant, Wax Wing Wane and more) so please check back soon for updates. I appreciate your continued support!

09/14/09: Hey everyone! Lots of news this time.

First of all, the Sonic Circuits: Off the Grid event was a huge success. I'd like to thank everyone who came out and who helped to make it happen. In case you missed it, I posted the links to some videos in my music section. I also posted some other awesome vids of me and Sean K Preston performing at the Heavy Rebel Weekender and the first part of a Memorial Day house party we played.

Next up, I just finished my new album! It's called Shenantics and I'm super proud of it. In fact, I think it's the most mature and concise work I've done yet. I'm not going to post it on my site any time soon so if you'd like a copy you need to get one from me at one of my upcoming shows or drop me a line to see if we can work something out :).

Moving on , Save Village from Evil Spirit, the opening track to said new album, was selected to be included on the Washington DC experimental music compilation District of Noise Vol. 2. The collection is presented by the DC chapter of the American Composers Forum and will be released in conjunction with the Sonic Circuits Festival of Experimental Music 2009, which I will also be performing. Read more about the ACF and the Sonic Circuits Festival here.

My first appearance at the festival will be with electro-acoustic duo Nine Strings on the Kennedy Center Millenium Stage. The Twenty-First Century Chamber Ensemble and Mind Over Matter Music Over Mind will also be performing. The show is on Wednesday, September 23rd, begins at 6:00 PM and is free to the public.

My second appearance will be a mostly solo set on Saturday, September 26th at the Velvet Lounge in Washington DC. My set will be at 8:30 PM sharp so come out early. Also, it's part of an all day event so if you haven't checked out what the DC experimental scene has to offer this is probably your best chance to take some of it in.

Finally, I'd like to take this opportunity to bid a fond farewell to my dear friend, Sharma Kay. She and her father were killed in an auto accident in the early hours of Saturday, September 5th. Sharma was an internet musician that I met several years ago on Soundclick. She was a wonderfully talented singer/songwriter and contributed a great deal of her time and positive energy to the online community. I am very sad to hear about her passing and I know that she will be sorely missed by all of her friends and family. I'd like to extend my deepest condolences to her mother and the rest of her family. May she rest in peace.

08/28/29: Holy Crap! I haven't updated this site in quite a while, huh?

Anywho, if you are in or around the DC metro area this weekend, you should swing by the Pyramid Atlantic Arts Center in Silver Spring MD this Saturday evening. I'm curating and performing at a benefit concert for the DC Sonic Circuits festival. The event is called Sonic Circuits: Off the Grid and you can go here for all the super sexy details!

More albums soon! I promise!

06/28/09: Toy Safety Recall is posted! Give 'er a listen!

06/20/09: Man, have I been busy lately! I had a nice run of shows in May playing solo, with Nine Strings and Sean K Preston. As a soloist, I played this year's DC Counter Culture Festival as well as the Artomatic. Sean and I got to play the Ottobar in Baltimore and we went into the studio recently to work on his as-of-yet-untitled album. We'll be playing the Heavy Rebel Weekender this July 4th in Winston Salem, NC too so things are going pretty well on that end.

To top all that off, I've been working hard on a new EP entitled Save Village from Evil Spirit that I hope to have completed by the end of the Summer and I'm also curating a mini fesitval called Sonic Circuits: Off the Grid this August. More details on that soon.

As soon as I can rangle up the cash to buy more space for this website (I'm already at 80% capacity) I plan on putting up a whole bunch of new albums. I'll keep you posted!

05/09/09: Wow! Lots of great stuff for you today! I just uploaded four new albums to the music section as well as a slew of Pilesar related videos. First off, is the first of hopefully many Live Pilesar albums. Next up are two new collabs, Bakesar and Nine Strings + Pilesar. And last but not least, please welcome Art Metaleers Dross to the CDA family of artists!

As always, keep checking back for new releases as I've got several more in the pipeline. Thanks for your support!

02/21/09: I did it! I played my first two solo gigs last week and I couldn't have asked for a better response. The first show went so well that I'm even making plans to release it as an EP. Thanks to all of you who came out to see me perform. Eventually, I'll get a show calendar on this site but for now you can check for performances on my Myspace page.

Oh, I updated my Links and added some new live video to the Music section. Enjoy!

01/04/09: Happy New Year! Just wanted to let everyone know that I've posted a new EP from famed sonic alchemist Ghoul Detail on the music page. It's called If I Only Knew the Answers and if you like dark ambient, I suggest you give it a listen!

Also, I'd like to congratulate CDA artist Thomas J for receiving Steve Gilmore's coveted Artist of the Year title for 2008! Steve Gilmore is a highly respected and dedicated internet musician who has been reviewing other free internet musicians for many years now. A frequenter of such online communities as Sounclick, MP3 Unsigned, Songplanet and POPspace, Steve also runs his own blog called RebelRiffs where he reviews up to 50 tracks a month! Anyways, if you haven't already, go check out Thomas J's EP, Let Them Down Gently, and see what all the fuss it is about!

12/16/08: Just posted a ton of new links. Want your site listed? Shoot me an email!
11/27/08: Got some exciting news! I've finally amassed enough gear to start playing out as a one man band! For years I've fantasized about doing this and now I am in a position to start making it a reality. I'm still working on material but so far I have about 9 or 10 pieces that I can comfortably perform in a live setting.

Also, I just finished my newest album No Good For Eyeballs and have already started working on my next full length, Of Questionable Origin. Keep checking back for details!

10/5/08: Sweet! Got some brand new stuff up today! First of all, I posted both of my noise EPs for all you weirdos who like that type of stuff (check them out here and here). Secondly, I'd like to welcome the new CDA artists: Bakers at Dawn, Dama Libra, Daniel Euphrat, Fisterhardcore, and Thomas J. Be sure to swing by their pages and check out their work!

Coming Soon: Eruptions from the Noisefloor, Toy Safety Recall, Pulord, Eugene Erickson, The Telemarketer from Hell and more!

08/18/08: Ok, the good news is that after slaving away at mixing, mastering, and coding for the last 5 months, CDA has 25 albums posted and ready to download! Not only that, but there's much more to come in the next couple of months!

The bad news is that while all of the albums can now be downloaded as ZIP files, they only contain the MP3's but no cover art. The artwork has been proving difficult as I'm starting to discover that I misplaced some of the original files or have accidentally saved over them. Since the art has been holding up the train for so long I decided to just go ahead and make the music downloadable and post the artwork later as I can get it done.

So anywho, swing by the music pages and CZECH it out!!!

03/01/08:  Finally!!!  After years of plotting, planning, procrastinating, and pouting, the Official Pilesar/Chameleon Dish Archives website is up and running!  To celebrate, I have posted a whole slew of albums for you to download so hurry over to the Music section and get to clicking before I change my mind!   By the way, there may be some minor kinks here and there so bear with us while we work everything out.
